I prefer motorized bikes since I am 15 years old. First I rode a Kreidler moped, than a 80th Herkules and finally a Honda CX500 Güllepumpe, which I still have and with the CX I also did my first big trip - 7 month Australia. Further I bought a BMW R80 GS Paris Dakar motorbike, with the BMW I rendered uncertain the aussie bush. In between I had a Husqvarna 610TE, but I disassociated myself from the Husqvarna. The latest in the garage, well new year of manufacture ´93, is a Honda Africa Twin, with the Africa Twin I will ride in South America.

I did my motorbike licence 5 years ago when I was 23 years old. Honestly my boyfriend Tobi infected me. We have been on vacation in Italy, have been riding much on the weekends in Germany and after one motorbike season I decided that I want to ride by myself. My first motorbike was a Yamaha XT600, with the XT I rode the first kilometers. 3 month later I flew alone to Australia in order to visit a language course in Brisbane and to learn to know and love Australia. Before I was for one month in Australia and traveled by the Greyhound Bus through Australia. But I had to realize, that all the beautiful national parks, nature... only pass by, if you do not have your own vehicle. During the time in Brisbane I met Rob (he has a motorbike shop - Tyres for Bikes) and he organised a Yamaha XTZ660 Tenere for me. I bought the Tenere and sold it after my 4 month trip. My riding experience on dirt was zero, so Rob invited me to join some rides with the Overlanders and than I started my trip. It was a great, exciting time and in Australia it was no problem at all to travel by yourself as a women. Aussies admire this and thereby I got a much more intensive contact to Aussies, because they invited me to stay with them... So and now I am looking forward to Tobis and my trip to South America. When I came back from Australia I changed the Yamaha XT600 against a Honda Transalp. Tobi rebuilt the Transalp and with her I will ride in South America.
